A tour of the workspace

Bookbag has a small number of screens. This page names all of them.

The shell

Every page except the project page shares the same frame.

The top bar carries a sidebar toggle, the Bookbag logo (which goes to the dashboard), a Search… button showing the shortcut ⌘K, and on the right: a notification bell, a light/dark theme toggle, an app launcher and your account menu.

The sidebar, from the top:

• The project switcher. Shows the open project's name, or All projects when none is open. Its menu lists your eight most recent projects, then All projects and New project.
• Organization — Projects, People (an external link to your Bookbag account, where members are managed) and New project.
• Projects — Starred, Recently viewed, Templates.
• Your recent projects, eight of them, under the current organization's name.
• Account — Account & credits, with your credit balance shown on the right, and Platform admin if you are one.
• The organization switcher, at the very bottom. Shows the current organization, and its menu lets you change it or create a new one.

⌘K — the command palette

Press ⌘K (or Ctrl+K) anywhere. The box reads Search projects and pages….

It searches your projects by name and by their original prompt, which is often the faster way to find something — you remember what you asked for more reliably than what it got called. Each result shows a star if it is starred and when it was last built.

Below the projects, a Go to group with four destinations: New app, Templates, Organizations and Account & credits.

If nothing matches: Nothing found.

The dashboard

The main screen. /dashboard.

At the top, Ready to build, <your first name>? and under it either Building in <organization> or, if you are a viewer, Viewing <organization> — you can open projects here but not change them.

Then the prompt composer, the design picker and five quick-start chips. See Creating a project.

Below that, four tabs:

Tab	What it shows
Projects	Every project in the current organization, most recently changed first.
Starred	Projects you have starred.
Recently viewed	Projects in the order you last opened them.
Templates	Ten starter prompts, each a card with an icon and a one-line description.

Every project appears as a card. Its thumbnail is the app itself, rendered live in a miniature frame — so a glance at the dashboard tells you what each project actually looks like. A project whose sandbox is not running falls back to a coloured gradient.

Hovering a card reveals a star button, an open-in-new-tab button when the app is live, and a ⋯ menu with Rename, Star/Unstar, Archive and Delete.

The project page

/project/<id>. The screen you spend the most time on. It has no sidebar.

The top bar:

• The Bookbag logo, back to the dashboard.
• The project-name dropdown: Rename · Star/Unstar · — · Version history · Security check · Download source · — · Archive.
• A Building pill with a spinner while a run is live.
• Your credit balance, linking to the account page.
• Publish, which reads Published once the app is live.
• The usual notification, theme, launcher and account controls.

The left column is the conversation: your messages on the right, the builder's on the left under the heading Bookbag. While a run is live you see its text appear as it writes, and the last eight steps underneath. The composer is at the bottom.

The right column is Preview or Code — the running app, or its source.

On a phone the two columns do not fit, so a Chat | App toggle appears in the middle of the top bar.

Three panels slide in from the right when you open them from the dropdown: Version history, Security check and the Publish dialog.

The account page

/account. Three cards:

• Bring your own AI — a link to /account/ai.
• Credits — your balance, a warning if it is at zero, and your ledger: when, what, how many credits and the balance afterwards.
• Your account — two buttons out to your Bookbag account, for your profile and your organizations.

Nothing on this page is editable. Your name, email, password, devices and organization memberships all live at your Bookbag account.

/account/ai is where you add your own AI provider key, browse the models it can reach, and choose which one runs your builds. See Your own AI key.

The organizations page

/organizations. One card per organization you belong to, showing its name, your role, a Current badge on the active one, and three controls: People (out to your Bookbag account), Work here, and a button to manage it at your Bookbag account.

A New organization button creates one, with you as its owner.

The admin area

/admin, visible only to platform administrators. It has its own sidebar and six pages: Overview, Platform AI, Skills, Designs, Credits and Settings. See Administration.

If you are not an administrator the entry does not appear anywhere, and typing the URL bounces you back to the dashboard.

The notification bell

The bell shows unread notifications from every Bookbag product, not just this one — organization invitations, account changes, and anything the other products raise. Each item is tagged with the product it came from.

Bookbag itself does not currently raise any notifications. Everything in the bell arrived from elsewhere.

At the bottom of the panel, All notifications, every product → takes you to the full inbox at your Bookbag account.

Light and dark

The theme toggle in the top bar switches between light and dark. There is no "follow the system" option. Your choice is stored on your Bookbag account, so it follows you into the other products.
