# Save widget submissions to the CRM

> Turn on "Save submissions to CRM" for a widget and every submission becomes a CRM record — the table is created automatically from the widget's fields.

Any [widget](/docs/widgets/overview) with a form can save what visitors submit straight into the agent's CRM. This is opt-in **per widget** — not every widget saves, only the ones you choose.

## Turn it on

1. **Open the widget** — Agent → Widgets → open the widget you want.
2. **Functions tab** — Switch to the Functions tab.
3. **Enable "Save submissions to CRM"** — Check the toggle at the top of the tab, then Save.

## What happens on submit

The first time a visitor submits the widget, Bookbag **creates a CRM table named after the widget**, with a field for each form field. Every submission — then and after — is stored as a record. If you later add a new field to the form, it's added to the table automatically on the next submission.

> **INFO:** Find the results under the agent's **CRM** tab — the table carries a **widget** badge. Records captured this way are marked as coming from a widget.

## CRM capture vs. the Leads form

Use **CRM capture** when you want structured, custom fields stored in a table you control. Use the built-in [Leads form](/docs/skills/collect-leads) when you just want simple name/email/phone leads in the Leads inbox. You can use either, or both.
